A graduate of the Faxton Hospsital school of nursing, Mrs. Trosset was a member of the association staff for about 12 years prior to her marriage. She became a member of the city nursing staff in January 1943. WILKINSON New Hartford-- Jane Durgee Trosset Wilkinson, 94, a resident of the Presyterian Home, New Hartford and formerly of Clinton, passed away Monday, November 10, 1997. Jane was born on June 15, 1903 in Camden, NY, the daughter of James Hamilton Durgee III and Barbara Snyder Durgee. Jane graduated from Camden High school and from the Faxton School of Nursing in 1925. She was a Public Health Nurse prior to her marriage to Dr. Harold R. Trosset on April 5, 1942. After his death in November of 1942, she married Dr. M. Fiske Wilkinson on September 10, 1949. Dr. Wilkinson passed away March 15, 1973. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane Trosset Steates and Francis C. Steates, New Hartford; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert F. and Patricia Aitken Trosset of Rockledge FL; six grandchildren, Patricia Steates Gallivan, F. Paul Steates, Janet Steates Clendaniel, Robert F. Trosset, Jr., George A. Trosset and Dean Trosset; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Dorothy Cooley, David Raut, Donald Eastham, Barbara Braell, Robert Crumb, Nancy Schmidt, John Durgee, Roger Durgee, Marilyn Washburn, Richard, Wendell and Donald Willis. She was predeceased by seven sisters and brothers and one nephew... Services on Saturday.... in Child's Chapel at Forest Hill Cemetery, where interment will follow... References
