Her daughter Delilah said on the census of 1880 that Amy had been born in Massachusetts.

The book about Lempster inhabitants lists Hezekiah's marriage to Amy: perhaps they married before removing to Orwell???

From the Warsaw Historians

I know nothing about the Thompsons and find no mention of them either in the History of Warsaw or the old cemetery chart.

The Advertiser of Family History, Vol. IV, p. 105 (Bristol and Bremen Families [Massachusetts]) has a family that may be promising

Children of Joshua and _____ Thompson: ThomasApril 13, 1783 JoshuaFebruary 19, 1785 AmyMarch 22, 1787 IchabodJuly 26, 1789 MaryJuly 12, 1791 MarthaNovember 12, 1793 AbigailApril 16, 1796 WatyOctober 13, 1798; died November 27, 1861 ThomasApril 19, 1802 ElizabethFebruary 20, 1805 AsaApril 20, 1808

If this family is correct, it would be curious that none of Hezekiah and Amy's children were named after her family. GenealogyLibrary.com shows surprisingly few Amy Thompsons in the right birthdate range - with none in Vermont.

From Edwina

When I came across the Larabees and Perkins - my goodness, I didn't know I was related to them?!!!! Mom said, if anyone had relatives in East Otto in the mid 1800's - then we're related to them!!!! I guess so!!!! Not only were the Scovel's early Pioneers, but my Colvin, Utley, Dow, Dudley, Sikes, and Brooks ancestors were also early Pioneers!! and then those relatives married the rest of East Otto pioneers - no wonder we are all related!!!! :) :)

Another possibility dragged off the Internet

Salmon Thompson. Married Clarissa Waldo in Bolton 17 November 1805. They removed to Vermont, Addison County. He died in 1831 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery Bristol, VT. A biographical article about his son Serano Thompson (who moved to WI) states that his father was born in CT and was a ship builder before moving to VT and raising sheep. It also said they remained in CT for about 2 years before moving to VT. I have found one hard to read church record of Salmon Thomson in 1807. I believe he was moving from a church in Cornwall to a church in Harwinton. No mention of family so I don't know if it is the right person.
