The Three Price Brothers and sister Ann

Land records show that Edward Price, John Price and Mungo Price were all located in the vicinity of Hawksbill Creek in what was then Augusta County in abt. 1749 and in the 1750's. The area is now in Page County, Virginia.

They witnessed land warrants for each other or acted as "chain carriers" for George Hume, the land surveyor that surveyed the land warrants for Edward Price, John Price and Mungo Price.

Another person that is included on many of those land records is Samuel Short who married Ann Price, who is a likely sister to Edward, John and Mungo Price. Samuel Short died abt. 1765 and she married 2nd, John Breeding (1730-1802). Autosomal DNA matches exist between a number of John Price descendants and a number of Ann Price Short Breeding descendants. This indicates they share a common ancestor. Surprisingly, the matches are very large on chromosome eighteen considering the genetic distance. Source: Geni.com

Many researchers believe they are siblings, but their parentage has not yet been established. Additional research is needed. Early records of Edward Price (who is likely the older sibling) originate in Bromfield Parish, Culpeper County, which is likely where the family was located before their migration to the Orange/Augusta/Frederick County area.
