Getting Started

This page belongs to the Duplicate pages patrol. Please feel free to edit the instructions as you see fit.

Before you get started, you may want to make sure your preferences are set to your local time.

Instructions

• Review the Duplicate families report and the (potential) Duplicates category.
• Carefully merge pages that are definitely duplicates.
• For pages that are definitely not duplicates, click the "Not a match" button to mark their talk pages with the Nomerge template.
• Where it cannot be determined whether or not pages are duplicates, add the Dup template, which tags the pages as potential duplicates. If the pages already have the template, update the status if appropriate.
• If you have any questions, feel free to ask them on the talk page.
