Dallan is available as a liaison between this group and the Overview Committee. There may be times that additional help is needed for this group to operate smoothly. Some examples include: a need for additional volunteers, questions about tasks, requests for assistance with conflict resolution, requests for policy changes, etc. If you would like help, please feel free to contact me either via my talk page or via email

▼Source code

You can download a Java-based bot framework and examples from Github so you can start writing bots right away. If Java's not your thing, any language that makes it easy to issue HTTP requests will work. A data file containing the current contents of every page is also available - see the Github project for more information. If you write a bot that updates pages, please let me know before running it.

The current list of bots that are operating on WeRelate is available here

Bots currently perform the following tasks:

• Generate a google sitemap
• Rename sub-places in response to super-place renames
• update texts copied from Wikipedia
• update the place-index web pages under http://www.werelate.org/placelist and http://www.werelate.org/placealpha
• update the potential duplicates list at http://www.werelate.org/duplicates/families.html and individual potential duplicates at My Relate > Show duplicates
