I have been tracing my ancestry for over 40 years and have a lot of information to share. All of my ancestry traces back to Ireland. Branches of my mother's family have been in Essex County, New Jersey, since the 1820s. My father's side of the family immigrated more recently (1860s-1880s), and settled in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; Jersey City, NJ; and Monmouth County, NJ.

On a trip to Ireland, I made contact with McEnery relatives, Kilcommons relatives, and likely Curley relatives.

I try to put on WeRelate any new information I find as soon as possible.

Lately I have been following up on DNA matches. I am related to a descendant of John Curley and Ellen Timmins. John was born in County Galway but by 1870 was a gardener at the Golden Bridge Industrial School in Dublin. His parents were apparently Thomas and Mary Curley, but that is as far as I have gotten on this line.
