his sec. w. that was w. of William Royal; so that we may well infer,
that most of his own ch. if not all, were b. in Eng. SAMUEL, Farmington,
s. of farmer John of the same, call. Cowles, m. 14 June 1661, Abigail,
d. of Timothy Stanley, had Samuel, b. 17 Mar. 1662; Abigail, Jan. 1664;
Hannah, 10 Dec. 1664; Timothy, 4 Nov. 1666; Sarah, 25 bapt. 27 Dec.
1668; John, b. 28 Jan. 1671; Nathaniel, 11 Feb. 1673; Isaac, 28 Mar.
1675; Joseph, 18 June 1677; Elizabeth 17, bapt. 21 Mar. 1680; and
Caleb, bapt. 25 June 1682, all the eleven liv. when the f. d. 17 Apr.
1691. SAMUEL, Hartford, s. of John, the carpenter, d. 16 Mar. 1694,
in his will, made the day bef. names w. Mary, ch. Samuel, Ichabod,
John, Jonathan, Elizabeth Dorothy, and Hannah. THOMAS, Hampton 1638,
prob. came in the Mary and John 1634, with w. Eunice, was an orig.
propr. there, but found at Salem 1649, there d. Apr. 1679. His sec. w.
Ann, by her will of 1 Nov. foll. ment. s. Abraham, and John. WILLIAM,
Exeter 1639, was the yr. bef. witness to the deed (true, not spurious), from
the Ind. to Wheelwright, with wh. he rem. to Wells, 1640, was constable 1645,
submit. with John and Nicholas, perhaps his s. perhaps brs. 1653, to the
Mass. jurisdict. may have rem. to Hampton, there d. 26 May 1662, in
his 82d yr. WILLIAM, Boston, by w. Ann had Mary, b. 6, and d. 23
Dec. 1653. Of him I hear no more. WILLIAM, Boston, by w. Martha
had William, b. 14 Apr. bapt. at O. S. ch. in her right 24 July 1687, as
was Martha, again, with tw. William, b. 7, bapt. 10 Feb. 1689; and
Martha, again, with tw. Mary, bapt. 16 Nov. 1690. WILLIAM, Eastham,
s. of Daniel of the same, m. 2 Dec. 1686, Hannah Snow, prob. d.
of Stephen of the same, had Elisha, b. 26 Jan. 1689; Daniel, 4 Oct.
1691; Hannah, 15 Dec. 1693; and Jane, 4 Jan. 1696; and his w. d.
23 June 1737. WILLIAM, Kingstown, s. of John, in his will names ch.
John, Samuel, Joseph, Benjamin, Wignal, Mary Dickinson, Ann, Hannah,
and Susanna. It was made 22 Sept. 1727, and pro. 18 Sept. 1734.
Three of this name were in the list of gr. at Harv. 1834, and six at
other N. E. coll. some hav. a aft. o, and some final s, wh. it is beyond
my power to discrim.

    COLEMAN, ISAAC, Nantucket, s. of Thomas, was drown. 6 June 1669,
unm. JOHN, Nantucket, br. of the preced. m. Joanna, eldest d. of Peter Folger,
had John, b. 2 Aug. 1667; Thomas, 17 Oct. 1669; Isaac, 6 Feb. 1672; Phebe,
15 June 1674; Benjamin, and Abigail, tw. 17 Jan. 1677; Solomon; and Jeremiah;
and d. 1716. His wid. d. 18 July 1719. JOHN, Hatfield, s. of Thomas
of Wethersfield, freem. 1672, had been freem. of Conn. 1658, prob.
rem. 1659, m. 1663, Hannah, d. of John Porter, had Thomas, b. 1664;
