This may clarify DAR credit: The Family History Book of Some of the Descendants of Sylvanus Walker of New Kent co VA (Robert Alvin Walker, 1973) "On October 13, 1972, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution approved National #571684, which was the application of Margaret Jane Smith Collier, and which showed her descent from Sylvanus Walker (III). This gave him credit for the Revolutionary Service, and also the credit for being a Member of the Virginia House of Delegates, which had previously been credited to Sylvanus Walker (II)." [ In this work, these persons are distinguished: Sylvanus Walker (II) - b 1718, son of Sylvanus Walker (I) & Anne Tandy Sylvanus Walker (III) - son of Tandy Walker & Judith ___ The service referred to was in 1780-81. ] (S3, not S2)

I suggest that this record refers to Sylvanus(2), and that by Feb 1743/44, he has left the Henrico co; in Aug 1746, he has bought land in that part of Brunswick co, which became Lunenburg co. 2) The 1760 deeds from Hanover co & Henrico co could refer to either Sylvanus(2) or Sylvanus(3), both of whom were active in dealing land at this time. Sylvanus(1) would be age 71 at this time, and is probably dec'd. The 1760 deed from Lunenburg co mentions Sarah, wife of Sylvanus, thus identifying this one as Sylvanus(3).
Sylvanus Walker(1) ~1689 - born, son of William Walker early 1690s - inherited 400a Henrico co from [grandfather] Francis Warren; land held by father May 1710 - receives inherited land, as adult Dec 1711 - granted 393a New Kent co 1714 - son Tandy(1) born, New Kent co Dec 1718 - son Sylvanus(2) born, New Kent co [after 1718, we have no firm evidence of Sylvanus(1)] [possibility that he died soon after this, should affect interpretation of certain relevant documents]
