Township of Gardner

Gardner is a civil township situated in the southwestern part of the county of Johnson, state of Kansas, United States of America. It was originally bounded on the north by the township of Lexington, on the north and east by the township of Olathe, on the east by the township of Spring Hill, on the south by the county of Miami (including the townships of Marysville and Richland), and on the west by the township of McCamish. Portions of its territory have since been annexed into the incorporated cities of Gardner and (in small part) Olathe.

History

Gardner was settled in 1857. The new civil township encompassed parts of townships 14 and 15 south, of ranges 22 and 23 east of the Sixth Principal Meridian.
