Identification

William and Clara Quigley live in Mt. Hope, Grant County, WI in 1870. William R. Quigley and Clara L. Crow are the parents of Thomas F. Quigley, b. Mt. Hope, who married Olive King on 22 Jun 1907 in Mineral Point, WI. This William filed for an invalid pension 19 Feb 1886, and Clara filed for a widow's pension 3 Feb 1893. The application indicates he was in B Company, 33rd Infantry. [1]

This is therefore the William Quigley, next door to Robert Quigley in Cassville (Grant Co), listed in the 1890 Veteran's Census. He was a private in B Company, 33rd Infantryfrom Aug 1862 to May 1865.[2]

He is not the William who married Mary Johnson in Crawford County, as that marriage record lists different parents (Joseph and Nancy).
