William Herring, 86, died of complications at 5:00 p. m. Monday in the Allen-co Home where he had been for several months.

He was a lifelong resident of Spencerville and resided there for many years. He was a retired merchant.

Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Spicer of Lima and Mrs. Jennie Burgett of Allentown; and one brother, George of near Lima.

The body will be removed from the C. B. Miller and son funeral home to the Davis-Miller and Son funeral home in Lima, late Tuesday to remain until time of services. Final rites will be conducted at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday with Rev. Fara Laman of the First Baptist church of Spencerville, officiating. Burial will be at the Greenlawn Mausoluem at Elida.
