William Jameson and Margaret to John Jameson, £55, on Christian's Creek, whereon William now lives, conveyed to William by William Martin, 19th March, 1765, 310 acres; corner William Palmer; corner George Robinson, now Samuel Black's land, plot surveyed for Mr. William Russell now Alexander Thompson's land. Teste: William Palmer, Jean ( ) Palmer, William ( ) Calin. Delivered: Samuel Ferguson, 17th August, 1772.

    William Callen Sr, was born on 12 May 1735 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He married Elizabeth Taylor in 1762 in Loudon County, Viriginia. Elizabeth was born on 25 Jul 1740 in Loudon Cty, VA and died on 18 Jul 1810 in Cabarrus Cty, NC.

    They had 4 sons:

    Thomas B. Callen born 20 Mar 1762 who married Jane C. West on 10 Jan 1816 in Carroll, Arkansas. Thomas died on 4 Jan 1848 in Oak Hill, Carroll, Arkansas.

    John Callen born 1765, married Nancy Agnes Kerr about 1794.

    James Callen born 1770 who married Olivia H. Stewart in July 1794 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. James died 20 Feb 1842 in Dallas, Alabama.

    ** William Callen Jr. born 1772 in Augusta County, Virginia; died before 1829 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina.

    William Callen Sr was Lieuteant in the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Company, under the Command of COL John Perry of the Westmoreland Co, PA Militia, Barr's detachment.
