Claiborne Glasscock; and Micajah 1812 m. Barbara Linn [and or Barbara Wheeler]. 1810 Nicholas County, KY Census:William Bowen males 3 under age 10, 1 age 26-45; females 1 under age 10, 1 age 10-16, 3 age 16-26, 1 age 26-45. In the 1820 census for Nicholas Co., Kentucky, the household of William Bowen lists 1 male 0-10 [Micajah?], 1 male 10-16 [William Jr.?], 1 male 16-18 [James?], 2 males 16-26 [John? & ?], and 1 male 45+ [William Sr.?]; 1 female 10-16 [Suzzana?], and 1 female 45+ [Elizabeth?]. In the 1840 census for Nicholas Co., Kentucky, there is a listing for William Bowen with 1 male 10-15, 1 male 30-40 [William Jr.?], 1 male 80-90 [Wm Sr?]; 1 female 0-5, 2 female 5-10, and 1 female 20-30. Micajah [also shown as McCager or Michager] is found in Bourbon, Marshall Co., Indiana in 1860 with wife Barbara and children Amanda, Moses, Mary, Solomon B., Jesse H., Jenny and Barbary. They are listed in 1870 in Bourbon as well. Library of VA, Land Grants Online, Book 31, p. 391. Land Treasury Warrant # 519 issued 27 May 1793, and Treasury Warrant # 8382 issued 3 Apr 1782 to William Bowen in Botetourt, County, VA for 185 Acres on waters of the James River, on the north side, cornering his own land, formerly Preston's.
