    Funeral services for Mr. Walter D. Wilkerson will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church in Conroe with Dr. Kenneth Snipes, Pastor, officiating. Mr. Wilkerson, 77, of Conroe died in a Conroe hospital Friday morning. A native of Texas and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Conroe, Mr. Wilkerson was a retired superintendent of the Conroe Independent School District. Mr.Wilkerson is survived by two sons: Dr. Walter D. Wilkerson, Jr. of Conroe and Mr. Jim B. Wilkerson of Dallas; three sisters: Mrs. Margaret Payne, Mrs. Helen Ranson, bother of Dallas and Mrs. Lucille Lucas of Fort Worth and four grandchildren. Interment will be in Garden Park Cemetery with Forest Hill Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In liew of usual rememberances the family request that donations be made to the W. D. "Topsy" Wilkerson Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Allied Conroe Bank, P.O. Drawer 99, Conroe, Texas 77301. Source: Conroe, Texas Courier of 16 Dec 1978.
