    "Jim Wilkerson, of Kimberley, Texas. Jim was born in Marlin, Texas May 12, 1935 to Frances Burnitt and Walter Wilkerson. He attended Conroe High School and graduated from Baylor University with a BBAin 1957. Jim was a huge fan of Baylor football where he played center. His friends always teased him about bleeding Green and Gold. Jim was respected by his peers as a business man in the Insurance industry. He spent most of his career in Dallas, Texas, with Royal Globe, Unimark, and USRisk. Jim met Gay Miles at Baylor and they married in 1958. They have two daughters, Holly Wilkerson Valliant, and Joanna Wilkerson Turbow, four grandchildren Hannah Valliant, Miles Valliant, Annie Valliant, and Ben Turbow. Jim is also survived by his brother Walter Wilkerson MD, sister in law Neddie Jane, nephew Mark Wilkerson and niece Nancy Brasher. Jim was totally devoted to his wife and children. Later, he mentored several of his children's friends, and then went on to love and adore his grandchildren.Jim has been active in his church both in Dallas and Wimberley. The family wants to express their gratitude to his many caretakers from Angels for Elders and CTMC Hospice. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Wimberley Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations are made in his name to Wimberley Presbyterian Church: P. O. Box 1854, Wimberley, TX 78676; Angels for Elders; 221 Twilight Trail, Wimberley, TX 78676; and CTMC Hospice:1315 N. IH 35, San Marcos, TX 78666.
