Vivian was the daughter of Eldo & Opal (Lauchner) Shaffer.
She had 2 sisters Evelyn (Miller), Rosalyn (Fagala), and 3 brothers, Herbert Shaffer, Harold Shaffer & Harley Shaffer. She graduated from Cutler High School in 1932.
She married John M. DeBoy Sept. 4, 1932. He died Feb. 24, 1986. They had, 2 daughters Sharon S. (h Richard Sparks), Judith A. (h Gerald Bougher), and 2 sons Gary H. DeBoy (w Beth) and Gail R. DeBoy (w Melinda).
She spent her retirement winters (20yrs) with her husband John on Marathon Key in Florida.
She was a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Gettingsville Presbyterian Church.
