When Bubbles was 15, she was sent to live with Elnora (Nana) Leopold because she was getting serious with a boy named Ed Hennisey.

Bubbles hated her nickname as a young child and wanted to be called the german equivalent.

Bubbles graduated from high school in California.

On a visit to Arizona, Bubbles was on a date with a boy at the movies, and Sweed (Ed Hennisey) found out and went to the theater and called her out. Bubbles and Ed ended up driving to Gallup, New Mexico and got married. Bubbles' parents were not happy at all at the decision.
