Edward and Paulyne were married by Reverand Thayer at the Trading Post of Gabe and Fay Wiedmeyer. Lorenzo Hubble and Paylyne's sister Maude were the witnesses (Source: Life Story of Cora Paulyne Saunders Leopold).

Indians in the area gave Edward and Cora a wedding rug to stand on while they were getting married. No one knows where the rug is today.
