Amsterdam Daily Democrat and Recorder, Nov 1960: ILION MAN DIES IN LITTLE FALLS VEHICLE MISHAP Timothy Harold Durgee, 18, of 63 S 4th AV, Ilion, met death instantly early today when the car in which he was riding went off the highway on Rt. 169... three miles north of Little Falls, struck a pole and overturned. Two companions... were taken to the Little Falls Hospital where they were reported in good condition. Authorities said the accident occurred about 12:45 a.m. as the three were proceeding north on the road and apparently the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, hurtling off the west side of the road striking a power pole and turning over in a field. Durgee was pronounced dead on arrival and an autopsy is in process of being performed...
