Jacobus, and other sources noted: 26 Aug 1694 - Theophilus and his wife, Mary Sanford, renewed Covenant at Fairfield Church - From "An Old New England Church, 270 Anniv of Public Worship in the Town of Fairfield," pg. 152: "In 1679 the Reforming Synod of New England recommended that there should be a "solemn and explicit Renewal of the Covenant " on the part of God's people. Among the names in the year 1694 which head the list are Theophilus Hull" 11 Nov 1694 - Theophilus and Mary Hull were admitted to the church at Fairfield - From "An Old New England Church, 270 Anniv of Public Worship in the Town of Fairfield," pg. 153: "The record of those admitted into full communion begins with Theophilus Hull and Mary Hull, Nov. nth, 1694." May 1705 - Ensign, west end company, Fairfield June 1709 - Lt. Oct 1709 - Capt. Oct 1709 - Committee of War, Fairfield County May 1708, Oct 1709 - Deputy (Fairfield) 5 Jun 1710 - Capt. Theophilus Hull died 4 Jun 1710 - Will written 2 Aug 1710 - Will proved - wife Mary; two daus, Mary and Ann L 50 apiece; four sons, Theophilus, Eliphalet, John, Jabesh; all children under age; cousin Sarah Seeley that lived with me, L 18 (Sarah Seeley was prob. step-dau. of his wife's sister, Rebecca (Sanford) Seeley.) 1712 - Mary Hull, widow of Capt. Theophilus, died - Noncupative will of Mary, widow of Theophilus, made abt. two days before her death, witnessed by Sarah Silliman and Elizabeth Jackson, who made oath 14 Apr 1712; she gave to Sarah Seeley 40 shillings; to daus Mary and Ann, L 16 apiece, and her clothing equally; residue to all her children. Adm'n granted to Sergt. Ezekiel and Thomas Sanford. Theophilus, son of Capt. Theophilus, chose Nathaniel Hoyt of Danbury for guardian; and Anna chose Cornelius Hull. References
