Theda Siebels Wessels February 7, 1853 - February 6, 1933 Obituary Mrs. George Wessels Dies After 60 Years In Crescent Township Mrs. Theda Margaret Wessels died at the family home in Crescent township, Monday, lacking only two days of being 80 years old. She had lived with her husband 60 years of married life most of which was spent in Crescent township. Mrs. Wessels was a native of Germany and came to this country at the age of 16. The family is one of the best known in the neighborhood. Of their nine children, eight, with the husband, survive, as follows: Mrs. Anna McKee, Milford; Miss Lillie Wessels, at home; Mrs. C. V. Luke, Milford; John William and Harry, all living near the home place; Fred Wessels, of Urbana, and Mrs. Matilda Mueller, of Ash Grove township. She also leaves a granddaughter, Mrs. Odle Tascher of Watseka, whose mother, Mrs. Gesena Wessels Lubben, died about five years ago. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home and at 2 o'clock at the German Lutheran church at Crescent City by Rev. C. Helmreich.
