Facts and Events
Susan Moles was baptised on 23rd October 1748 at Stotfold in Bedfordshire, daughter of Ann Moles, formerly Collop, and her husband William Moles, a labourer. Susan's father died in 1768, when Susan was nineteen. When Susan was 26 years old she married a man called Richard Moles. It is possible they were related, but no connection has yet been established. Susan and Richard stayed in Stotfold and had five children baptised there between 1776 and 1783. However, three of those children died as babies. In 1783, Richard died, leaving Susan a widow of 34 with two children to look after. Susan survived Richard by less than two years; she was buried on 4th June 1785, aged 36. Her daughter Esther died a couple of weeks later. Susan's mother outlived her. References
