Stuart BELL married 19oct1835 Elisabeth BARTON in Glasgow, Lanarkshire (excerpt from marriage register). Stuart was a „writer“ in Glasgow, worked at 41 Howard St. and lived in Buchanan St. and later at Clincart, Cathcart, Lanarkshire, and Bellevue, Cathcart (family letters). In an obituary of his brother David, Stuart is described as a writer in Glasgow and partner of Thomas Falconer of Brownyside. Stuart died 29sep1841 at „Bellevue“, Cathcart, Lanarkshire (newspaper report?). Cathcart straddled Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire and usually their residence was attributed to the former county.
