    Samuel Tenney, born in Bradford, Mass. (now Groveland), 17 Dec., 1697, son of Elder Samuel and Sarah (Boynton); married in Bradford, 5 Jan., 1719-20, Sarah Worcester, daughter of William and Martha (Cheney) Worcester of Bradford. … They united with the First Church 24 Apr., 1720. (Church Manual.) … He removed to Littleton, Mass., about 1727-8, where Mrs. Tenney died. He married in Bradford, 28 December, 1749, his second wife, Elizabeth Fales of Bradford, "daughter of ye widow." She united with the First Church 2 November, 1746. … He died in 1777. The first three children were born in Bradford; the others were born at Littleton, eleven children, it is said.
