Samuel Pullin was born in 1770 in Augusta County, Virginia and son of Loftus, Sr. and Ann Jane (Usher) Pullin. He married Sarah Henry, daughter of Henry and Mary Henry, on January 22, 1793 in Rockingham County, Virginia 1789. Samuel Pullins was listed on the 1800 Virginia Tax Lists for Bath County, Virginia -- 1-10. [1] He and his brother Jonathan were named executors of their father's Loftus) will. He passed away in 1850 and buried in the Pullin Cemetery which is known today as the Schumate/Vance Cemetery.
