1793 --- VIRGINIA MARRIAGE BOND
Know all men by these presents, Samuel Pullins and John Henry are held and firmly bound unto Harvey Lee, Esq., in the sume- of fifty pounds current money of Virginia to which payment were and to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs and family. We jointly and firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated the 20th of January 1793. --- The condition of the above obligation in such that whereas there is a marriage. Suddenly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Samuel Pullins and Sarah Henry, daughter of Henry Henry of Rockingham County. Now if there shall be now lawful cause to obstruct the same, then the above obligation to be void, then to remain in full force and virtue.
