REBECCA COUP Passes Away Wednesday Morning After A Long Illness. Mrs. Rebecca Coup died at 6:45 Wednesday morning at the home of her son, Mr. William Coup, North Gay Street, of Tuberculosis. Her illness was of three years duration. The deceased was 69 years of age and was born in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. She is survived by eight children, namely: Mary E., of this city, Cyrus S., of Toledo, Ann M., of this city, Mrs. H. C. Challingsworth of this city, Samuel of Akron, John of Toledo and Mrs. Walter Pyle of Columbus. Mrs. Coup was a life long member of the Baptist church. The funeral will occur Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. F. E. Brinistool officiating. Ohio, Knox County, Will Book M, pages 450-452 (Copied by William A. Will Filed for Probate. 3 This day an instrument of writing, purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Rebecca R. Coup, late of Clinton Township, in this County, deceased, was produced in open Court for probate; it is now ordered that the said Will be filed in this Court, and that due notice thereof and of the application to admit the same to probate and record be given to the next of kin of the testatrix, resident of the State of Ohio 5 days prior thereto, that the said application will be for hearing before this Court, on the 10" day of May 1906, at 9 o'clock A.M. Patrick A. Berry, Probate Judge. In the Matter of the Will of 3 Court of Probate, Knox County, Ohio. Rebecca R. Coup, Deceased. 3 May 18" 1906. Will Filed for Probate 3 This matter came on this day further to be heard, on the application of Cyrus S. Coup to admit to probate and record the will of Rebecca R. Coup, deceased, heretofore filed in this Court therefor. And it now being shown to the satisfaction of the Court that due notice of the filing of said will and of the application to admit it to probate and record in this Court has been given to the next of kin of said testatrix residents of Ohio; and T.C. attestation of said will; which testimony was reduced to writing, was subscribed by them respectively, and was filed with said will. Whereupon the Court finds taht the aforesaid instrument of writing is the last will and testament of said Rebecca R. Coup, deceased; that it was duly executed and attested: that the said testatrix, at the time of signing said will, was of lawful age, of sound mind and memory, and not under any restraint. It is therefore by the Court ordered, that the said will be admitted to probate, and that it, together with the said testamony of the witnesses above named, be entered of record in this Court. Coup, of Mount Vernon, Knox County, Ohio, do hereby make and declare this to be my last will and testament: Item First: It is my will that all my just debts be paid out of my estate. Item Second: It is my will that a sum not to exceed $300.00 be set apart out of my personal property and used in purchasing markers for our family lot in Mound View Cemetery at Mount Vernon, Ohio. Item Third: I give, bequeath and devise that my two unmarried daughters, Mary E. Coup and Anna M. Coup, all the rest and residue of my property, both real and personal for and during their natural lives or until they marry. Upon the death or marriage of either of my said two daughters, it is my will that the one of my said two daughters surviving her said sister, or remaining unmarried, shall have the use of all my property so bequeathed and devised by this Item, for and during her natural life, or until her marriage, if she should marry. Item Fourth: Upon the death or marriage of each of my said daughters mentioned in Item Third above, I give, bequeath and devise all my property, both real and personal, not paid out by my Executor hereinafter named under Items First and Second of this will, to my eight children, share and share alike, to-wit, Cyrus S. Coup, William M. Coup, Samuel R. Coup, John M. Coup, Mary E. Coup, Anna M. Coup, L. Dell Challingworth and Daisy F. Pyle, to them and their heirs and assigns forever. Item Fifth: I nominate and appoint my son, Cyrus S. Coup, as Executor of this, my last will and testament. In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name this 5" day of September, A.D. Personally appeared in open Court T. C. Canning and Rollin R. McIntire who being first duly sworn to testify the truth, and nothing but the truth, in relation to the execution of the last will and testament of Rebecca R. Coup, deceased, depose and say: That they were present at the execution of the instrument of writing now before them bearing the date of 5" day of September, 1905, purporting to be the last will and testament of Rebecca R. Coup, deceased, that they respectively subscribed their names thereto as witnesses at the request of said testatrix and in her presence; that they saw said testatrix sign said instrument at the end thereof, and heard her acknowledge the same to be her will, and that said Rebecca R. Coup at the time of executing the same was of full age, and of sound mind and memory, and not under any restraint. T. C. Canning. Rollin R. McIntire.
