Obituary: "The Bulletin", Bend, Oregon, Monday, August 15, 1966 Raymond Peter Syverson

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Niswonger-Reynolds Chapel for Raymond Peter Syveraon who died yesterday at St. Charles Memorial Hospital. He was 74.

Mr. Syverson, who was born April 16, 1892 in Clatskanie, Ore., had been a resident of Bend for the past 25 years. He made his home at Route 1, Box 644.

A local building contractor, Mr. Syverson was also a member of the First Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie, of Bend, children: Mrs. Donald (Lois) Larson, Mrs. Sue Nelson, Herbert and Terry Syverson and Charles Ash, all of Bend; Kenneth, of Seattle; Mrs. Marvin E. Luton of Dallas, Ore.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are berothers: Herbert, of Gresham; Arnold of Mill City; Courtney of Portland; Arthur, Bend; and sisters: Mrs. Laura Hallock, Portland; Mrs. Clara Kenney, San Francisco; Mrs. Fay Howes, of Cathedral City, Calif.; Mrs. Hazel Nougaret, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Doris Padden of Seattle; Mrs. Herbert Barnes of Longview, Wash.; and Mrs. Agnes Robinson of Albany.

The Rev. E. David Wardlaw of the Nazarene Church will officiate at funeral services.

Burial will be in Pilot Butte Cemetery.
