B. Syverson Arthur M. B. Syverson, 62, of 435 N. E. Kearney Road, Bend, died at his home Friday. He was a self-employed painter and had lived in Bend for 28 years. A native Oregonian, Mr. Syverson was born June 18, 1914, in Beaverton, a son of Christian Peter and Clorinda Jones Syverson. He married Dorothy Alice Hoadley April 24, 1941 in Aloha, Ore. The couple moved to the Bend area in 1949. He was a member of the Bend Eagles Lodge, was a volunteer fireman for over 25 years, a former president of the Deschutes County Sportsman's Club and a former officer in the Civil Air Patrol. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Linda Dent, Redmond; a son, a. Page Syverason, Bend; and two sisters, Lois Barnes, Washington State and Faye, of Illinois. There are six grandchildren. His wife, Dorothy, and a son, Clark, preceded him in death, in 1974 and 1973 respectively. Services will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at the Niswonger-Reynolds Chapel, Hill Street at Irving Avenue. Officers of the Bend Eagles Lodge will officiate. Burial will be in Pilot Butte Cemetery.
