Notes

Information from researcher Lois Olmstead:

Mary King married Peter Dyer before July 19, 1744. Peter Dyer voted in Prince William in 1741, so he was of age and a free man. Peter and Mary Dyer also moved to Augusta County, VA, where Peter Dyer died ca. 1748, after which Mary married James Downing. James Downing sold land in Augusta in 1753 and seems to have moved to Orange County, NC, where he bought land in 1754 on Cain Creek.
