   2006 bio by the creator of this memorial, Ron Cyran:
   Patrick Murphy Was Born in County Cork, Ireland About 1751 and is probably the Patrick Murphy on Captain Doble's Passenger list who arrived in Boston Harbor in December 1763 from Newfoundland. Patrick served in the French Indian War and is listed in the Cherokee expedition. He enlisted in the First Company VA MD Regiment August 1776. On January 7 1777 he enlisted for the duration of the Revolution. He was wounded in Georgia and served at Point Pleasant.
