Wife Alcinda, 24, is caring for their son. [p 297 fam #85/85]
We find a reference to Civil War service in Ancestry.com, Civil War Muster Rolls; "Noah Rittgers, Co. H., 159 Ohio Inf.(National Guard) Private."
Family story tells us he lived in Decatur, Macon Co., Ill., and names one son.
