13.7 Mary(3) RITTGERS (John, Jr.2, John1) was born 8 Oct 1835 in Hocking Co., Oh., the daugh ter of John Augustin RITTGERS, Jr. and Lydia____. On the 1850 census there, age 14, with par ents.[p 855 fam #212/218] She married George MOWREY 11 Oct 1853 in Hocking Co., Oh.[HVRM, B k B, p.194] He was born Oct 1834 in Ohio. The 1860 census shows George, age 32, born in Ohio , a farmer with $100 in real estate and $60 in personal property. He declares his parents wer e born in Pa. Mary, age 25 and born in Ohio is caring for their two children.[p 153 fam #966/ 954] In 1900 we find them in Greefield Twp., Fairfield Co., Oh. George, 65, is still farmin g. Mary, 62, declares they have been married 44 years and she has born 8 children, 2 alive a t that time.[ED 8, p 101A, fam #203/203] On the 1900 census, it is stated she b. Oct 1837, bu t the family record date given above appears more accurate based on her age on 1850 census.
