Moses is buried in Hillgrove cemetery and Mary is buried in Snell cemetery near Hillgrove. Moses and Mary were charter members of the Groenville Creek (Union City) Church of the Brethren. Because of his divorce from Mary he was relieved of membership. He was a farmer in Washington Twp., Darke Co., O., having cleared much of the land himself. Beers "History of Darke Co. O." p.440 refers to Moses settling in Washington Twp. Reliable reports say that when Moses died, money was carried out of his house by the grain sacks (plural) full. Census reports he had a large estate. Children by first marriage: Catherine, Jacob, Elizabeth, Martha, Alice, Mary, Isaac, Benjamin, Children by second marriage: Moses B., Nellie
