    MOSES(3) CHASE (Ens. Moses(2)), born in Newbury (now West Newbury) 20 Jan. 1687.8; died there, 17 Sept. 1760, in his 73d year. He married in Amesbury, 12 Oct. 1709, ELIZABETH WELLS, daughter of Rev. Thomas and Mary (Perkins) Wells (Mr. Wells was first pastor of the First Church of Amesbury). She was born in Amesbury, 17 Dec. 1688, died in Newbury, 31 May 1755, in her 67th year. They were buried in the Bridge Street Cemetery in what is now West Newbury. He lived on the east half of the Ensign Moses Chase homestead in what is now West Newbury. He and his wife were admitted to the Second Church of Newbury in 1715. They were dismissed to the Fourth Church of Newbury, 23 Nov. 1731. He made his will, 24 Nov. 1757, which was proved 6 Oct. 1760. Therein he mentions his sons Wells, Seth, Humphrey, Eleazer, Moses, and Daniel and his daughter Elizabeth Bailey. Children. born in Newbury (now West Newbury).
