12. Michael Robert Sevier, son of John Sevier, junior and his third wife Sophia Smith Garoutte Sevier, was born June 18, 1822. He was named after his grandfather Michael Garoutte and for his paternal uncle Captain Robert Sevier who was killed at King's Mountain. Michael Robert Sevier accompanied his brother and sister, John Garoutte Sevier and Martha Ann Sevier to Obion County in 1845. In 1859 he moved with them to Conway County Arkansas.
He married, probably before he left East Tennessee, Sarah E. Bayless, of Jonesboro, Tennessee. They had several children some of whom died young. Their children were :
