15. Sarah Hundley Sevier was the daughter of John Sevier, junior, by his third wife, Sophia Smith Garoutte Sevier. She was born in 1826. It will be observed that there was also a Sarah by the second wife. Hundley was a name in the Conway family and is a favorite middle name to the present time among descendants. Sarah Hundley was the name of John Sevier, junior's first wife's mother. He named one daughter for the first wife Elizabeth Conway and one for her mother.
Sarah Hundley Sevier married first, Robert E. Humphries, and second, Shelby Currey. In documents in Washington concerning the Sevier estate, Emmetta Humphries, administratrix of the John Sevier Estate, says that she is the child of Sarah Hundley Sevier.
