HISTORY: The following information fm a letter fm Clayton Davis dated 23 Jan 1988: "Grandma Matilda lived with us a few years, 1914-15?, and we never talked to her about her life with Wm. I cannot recall that my mother told us much about it either. I do not have an old family Bible either. We had a large handmade kitchen cupboard that came from the Johnson house in Tawas. Grandma J. went back to Moscow??. Later when my wife Joyce and I lived in Chicago we went to Alpena on vacation to visit my parents and Grandma J. and Aunt Anna (a wonderful person) were there. Later (about 1933 or '34) Grandma & Aunt Anna visited with us between trains in Chicago on their way back to Moscow and we never saw them again."
