In the 1930 U. S. Census records, she is incorrectly listed as "Thelma M." She was also called "Mary T" at later stages in her life.

Beginning in 2002, Mary Thelma lived with Tom /(a retired Marine officer). They met in the Senior Community Center where they both live in Harlington, Texas. Tom died during 2007. Her only child, Jim McMinn lives a couple of blocks away from her (2008). ..... In 2008, Mary T. related to me that our purported Indian blood is Sioux & came thru John Legg. (Highly unlikely & unsupported)
