Mary Kempson was baptised on 12th October 1783 at Totternhoe in Bedfordshire, daughter of Judith Kempson, formerly Sear, and her husband George Kempson, a labourer.

Mary does not appear to have married. She outlived both her parents. Her father died in 1815 and her mother in 1823.

Mary died at the age of 56, and was buried in her native parish of Totternhoe on 28th July 1840.
