Herbert M. Newell, Jr.'s History of Fayette Co., Ala., 1960, p.198. 1st marriage, Dr. Nathan Sylvan, dentist; Newell's information says 2nd was Jacob Stevens. Sarah Standifer's LDS microfilm notes says she married 2nd Frank Gruder, 3rd Jacob Stevens. My mother says she married 3rd Jacob Stevens. Sarah Standifer also said she was a teacher and interested in politics.
