p198 History of Fayette Co Alabama, Mr & Mrs Herbert M. Newell, Jr. 1960 Newell Offset Pub Fayette Alabama:birth, death & marriage: Charles Austin. A letter by her brother, Calumbus Asa, Jr.. written Jan 1867 states she had mar. Dr. Douglas of Columbia, Texas "a very intelligent & wealthy gentleman" and he had received a letter from Texas "the other day". Which husband 1st? Douglas was probably first as my mother said Falbia "Sug" Austin died in 1912. She had a daughter, Birdy by Dr. Douglas who married Mr. Rosenthal and had one child, Daisy who died ;Sarah Standifer notes.
