Marie Rose THERIOT, daughter of Joseph & Marie Madeleine BOURGEOIS, probably married Isaac LeBLANC, had daughter Marie Genevieve. She was born 25 Dec 1762, baptized 9 Dec 1765 at St. Louis Cathedral, New Orleans, LA. In 1763 there was a Jacques THERIOT [may have been named Jacques-Joseph] with wife and two children listed as prisoners at Halifax. Marie Rose was listed on the 1777 census [as Marie], and in that same year served [with Isaac LeBlanc] as baptismal sponsor to Michel POIRIER, son of Michel & Marie CORMIER. !NAME-BIRTH-MARRIAGE-DEATH: T. Marie TERRIO, born 1764 in Acadia, daughter of Joseph & Magdeleine BOURGEOIS, married Isaac LEBLANC. She died at the hands of Indians [where is the documentation for this?!] after 1781. !BIRTH-MARRIAGE-CHILD-DEATH: On Pedigree Chart of Cyrus J. THERIOT sent in May 1996 by Robert THERIOT. Marie THERIOT, born 1764 at Halifax, daughter of Joseph & Magdeleine BOURGEOIS. Married in 1780 at St. James to Isaac LE BLANC, son of Jean Pierre & Ozite MELANSON. Marie died in 1783? at St. James. !CHRISTENING-SPONSOR: Baton Rouge Diocese, CATHOLIC CHURCH RECORDS; vol. 2; p. 600. Isaque LeBLANC & Marie TERRIO acted as godparents at the baptism on 1 Nov 1777 of Michel POIRIER, son of Michel & Anne [sic] CORMIER at St. James, LA (SJA-1, 36). [Marie was a 2nd cousin of the baby, age 14. The sponsors would not have been married at the time.] References
