Maria Charlotte Anderson Pelham, daughter of Charles A[nderson] Pelham and Sophia[1] (Aufrere), was born on 6 July 1780, and she was baptized on 2 August in the parish of Brocklesby, Lincolnshire, England.[1]

On 1 June 1804, William Tennant Esq. (bachelor) of Sydney Lodge, Hampshire, and the Hon. Maria Charlotte Anderson Pelham (spinster), were married by special licence of the Archbishop of Canterbury at the dwelling house of her father, the Right Hon. Charles Lord Yarborough, in Arlington Street, in the parish of St George, Hanover Square, Middlesex, England.
