Mrs. Margaret Slates, widow of William Harvey Slates, died at her home in Dellroy, November 9, from infirmities attending old age. Born in Lee Township, August 13, 1857, she had been a resident of Carroll County all her life. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Perry Township.
Surviving are three daughters, Sarah Ellen at home, Mrs. Mary Olive Heidy, of Dellroy, Mrs. Louella Neidig of Robertsville; two sons, George of Carrollton and Charles of Akron and one sister, Miss Tillie Busler of Lee Township. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Arbaugh Funeral Home and rites will be conducted Thursday at 2:30p.m. at the Kilgore Lutheran Church with rev. Earl Stainbrook officiating. Burial will be in the Kilgore Cemetery.
