On December 31, 1729, in Greenland, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, Margaret Bean, daughter of Jeremiah Bean and Ruth (Johnson) Bean married Jonathan Glidden (1696-1796) son of Captain Richard Glidden.
Margaret and Jonathan were Quakers who lived at Epping in Rockingham Couny, New Hampshire. Margaret and Jonathan had eight children, all born at Epping. Margaret died very soon after the birth of her youngest daughter, Margaret.:
- Jeremiah Glidden, born 1730, named for his maternal grandfather
- Jonathan Glidden, born 1732, moved from Exeter to Deerfield, in 1768, and then to Unity, Rockinham county, New Hampshire, in 1773
- Richard Glidden, born 1735, resided in Deerfield in 1765, in Unity, in 1775 and in Charlestown, from 1779-1819
- Andrew Glidden, born 1737, resided in Deerfeidl in 1765, and in Unity from 1780-1804
- Simeon Glidden, born 1745, resided in Deerfield, in 1767, and in Unity from 1775-1814
- Joseph Glidden, born 1751, resided in Unity 1776-1796, before moving to Barre, Vermont
- Mary Glidden, died 1819, at Readfield, Maine, married December, 1756, in Kingston to Ithiel Gordon, son of Daniel Gordon
*Margaret Glidden, married February 9, 1775 to James Ladd, born circa 1751, of Deerfield
