Obituary

Mrs. Lydia Folk, age 80 years, wife of George Folk, a prominent farmer living two miles south of Lakeville, died at the family residence Tuesday evening at 6:00 after a severe stroke of paralysis.

Mrs. Folk was born in Louisville, Ohio, October 17, 1832, and was married to George Folk, July 4, 1852. Ten years later the couple removed to this County and they had resided here ever since. Besides her husband she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Osias Clark, Adam Clark, Melinda Clark and Mrs. Mary Schlott, of Louisville, Ohio; George Clark, of Goshen, Indiana; and Tilman Clark, Tacoma, Washington. She is also survived by the following children: Mrs. George Brown, Mrs. Frances Stroup, Mrs. H. L. Baufield, all of South Bend; Mrs. Lavina Folk, of Los Angeles, CA; Mrs. Michael Trump, of Plymouth, Indiana; Mrs. William Mangus and Miss Rebecca Folk, of Lakeville; Mrs. George N. Folk, North Liberty, and Mrs. Elmer Wells, of this city. 33 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren survive her.

Funeral services will be held from the residence Friday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Brewer, of Lapaz, will officiate and interment will follow in Bowman Cemetery, this city.
