    Linnie M. Houghton, daughter of Legrand Stone and Julia Edwards, was born in Woodlawn, Virginia, and died Sept. 22, 1972.  On December 29, 1908 she was united in marriage to Albert Houghton of Kingston.
    To this union seven children were born: Kathryn Groves of Wayne, Mich.; A. Marion Houghton of Kingston, Elizabeth Munsey of Springfield, Louise Zook of Lawrence, Kans.; Virginia Butterly of St. Louis, Maurice E. Houghton of Kingston, and Martha Rains of Kingston.
    She is also survived by two sisters, Leona Goodnow, Seattle, Wash., Moreau Stone, St. Joseph; three brothers, Lee Stone, Wray Colo.; George Stone, Chilhowee; Edward Stone, Hamilton; seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
    Those attending the memorial service from out of the country were Mrms. C.D. Sawyer, St. Joseph; Mrms. Ernest Spickerman, Jane and Sarah, Moberly; Homer Cox, Sugar Creek; Mrms. Merle Zook, Kansas City; Mrms. Donald Zook, Kansas City; Mrms. Elbert Stone, Wray Colo.; Mrs. Mona Wingfield, Wray, Colo.; Mrs. Mina Shively, Idalea, Colo.; Mrms. Eugene Stone, Wray, Colo.; Mrs. Reta Graf and Annette, Kansas City; Mrms. C.A. Earl, Chillicothe; Mrs. Glen Sitzer, St. Joseph.
    The funeral was Sunday, Sept. 24, at 2 at the Federated Church in Kingston. Interment was in the Kingston Cemetery.
