Leo had to go to San Francisco to rescue his brother Harry from the opium dens. Taught George Bodner how to tap dance when George was 10 yrs. old as George requested. Leo was a very good tap dancer and once or twice when he and his friends from a social club were in the area of Broadway and Gates he danced with the Step Brothers on stage in one of the movie theaters. At that era, vaudville was performed on stage in the theaters. Leo and Bella were married on the date given (25 Jan 1930); the site was at the family homestead at 199 Highland blvd. The reason was two fold, one Adolph was not well at that time plus my mother was orphaned at a very early age. She was moved from one sister to another until she got a very bare bones elementary school education. Then she went to work until she married my father.
