Belle was orphaned when about 4 or 5 years old. Different sisters cared for her; she was shuttled from home to home. No information available on her family at this time. Leo and Bella were married on the date given (25 Jan 1930); the site was at the family homestead at 199 Highland blvd. The reason was two fold, one Adolph was not well at that time plus my mother was orphaned at a very early age. She was moved from one sister to another until she got a very bare bones elementary school education. Then she went to work until she married my father.
